Words from the Heart
Definitions, principles, a sense of belonging, responsibility, pride, and above all, projects. All of this and much more is what Industrias Metalúrgicas Cestari’s 95th anniversary represents. The company continues to celebrate an anniversary that finds it constantly growing, with leadership divided between the third and fourth generations of the family. Néstor Cestari is at the helm, and Valentina, Juan Andrés, and Lucila are following in his footsteps.
«I am fortunate to belong to this family; my roots are a privilege,» says Valentina Cestari, who is part of the HR department. Juan Andrés Cestari, in the Design department, tells us: «We are privileged to be part of a 100% Argentine company and also to have the opportunity to show the world these 95 years of existence.» Finally, Lucila Cestari, who divides her time between the Marketing and Foreign Trade departments, says: “Working with my brothers, my father, and for our children is an inexhaustible motivation.”
Néstor, the company’s Director, Andrés’s grandson and «Nino’s» son, first and second generation, is very proud: “I am one of the few who has lived through all four generations so far, because I was able to experience the transition from my grandfather to my father, from my father to me, and now I am experiencing my own transition with my children. Today I see it as a legacy we have left behind, but it also has to do with a way of acting. Beyond the legacy, it has to do with the passion one has.”
When it comes to legacies, the factory is aligned behind a clear idea: sincere, daily, and straightforward contact with users and staff, as if it were a big family. A family that continues to produce agricultural machinery for Argentina and the world. “The present, which I’ve lived alongside my father and brothers, is the best place I could be,” says Valentina, adding: “Legacy and willpower simultaneously.” Lucila says: “Sharing with my family and the entire team, and above all, trust, is a great support when thinking about the future. It’s good to know that we all have both the passion and the respect necessary for what we do.”
95 Years, a Global Example
Regarding the 95th anniversary, Lucila adds: “It’s unusual in Argentina or the world for a company to reach 95 years of age and have the prospects for continued growth,” while Juan Andrés adds with a clear idea: “Reaching 95 years of existence and having foreign counterpart companies respect and be surprised to learn this fact allows us to consider an extraordinary and immeasurable international achievement; we shouldn’t take it for granted.”
The Future of the Company
This present is unique, and the future is a challenge full of opportunities. Néstor sees a future always at the service of its users: “Keeping in mind that for Cestari, the most important thing is the customer and our human resources, I believe we can tackle any type of project, because by respecting our users and our people, all types of projects are possible.”
In this sense, Lucila shares her hopes for the future: “My wish is for Cestari to continue being a family business, with its warmth and closeness, that it continues to meet international standards, and that it continues to be a source of pride to be part of this company that is from Colón, Buenos Aires Province, and Argentina worldwide.”
Finally, with great emotion, Valentina states: “The future for me is about the hope that my daughters will one day feel the pride of belonging to this family.”
95 years of history and passion are summed up in a family photo that aims to continue the legacy. Cestari always looks forward, taking the best from the past. History as a witness to constant, unstoppable growth.
