“The safe tube drive system is a system that prevents the discharge tube from opening while the PTO is in motion using an electro-hydraulic system,” explains Fabricio Soldati, an engineer at Cestari Metallurgical Industries, about this innovation, developed based on the concerns of our users.
“We know that it is very common to confuse the guillotine and discharge tube drives,” explains Fabricio, who provides technical support: “If the user accidentally selects the wrong hydraulic command and activates the one that opens the tube, it will not open because the hydraulic circuit is blocked.”
This system, which solves a major problem with hopper trailers, was made possible with the development and advice of Marinelli Technology, a company specialized in the field. Together, we were able to work toward this significant improvement. Nicolás Marinelli tells us: «We believe that the inclusion of technology and innovation in agriculture, in addition to making us more efficient, provides solutions to various problems, such as the safety system for the discharge pipe.»
“The system is an improvement for both our users and the implement. The user knows they can’t accidentally open the chute if they were distracted or simply forgot which lever to use, while for the agricultural implement, it is a protective measure against a major failure, which results in time and repair costs,” concludes Engineer Fabricio Soldati.
This new development prevents breakdowns in the hopper unloading system associated with incorrect user operation, thus allowing greater availability of the unit for harvesting and grain handling.
