Jorge López Menéndez is an Argentine agricultural engineer and founder of WARC Group, a group operating in Africa. With planned activities, the group is incorporating Argentine no-till farming and the entire Argentine production system in Sierra Leone and Ghana.
WARC (West African Rice Company) is a non-profit organization based in Sierra Leone dedicated to food production, improved nutrition, and producer advisory services. Founded in 2011, this group works to reduce the productivity gap between corn, rice, soybeans, and other crops to help unleash the agricultural potential of Sierra Leone and the region at large.

And among these developments is our Cestari hopper, which, according to Jorge, «has solved a lot of problems in the harvesting process for crops like rice, corn, and now also soybeans.»
«We brought the 9,000-liter Cestari model, which works very well for rice. It sped up the harvest a lot, along with a Don Roque 125 working here. They’re the ideal complement. We gained hours of harvesting time and made production management much easier,» explains Jorge López Menéndez, who considers himself a sustainable producer.

Finally, Jorge highlights the potential of the Cestari hopper: «There are many hectares to develop and bring into production, so we continue to trust in Cestari. The plan is to bring in another one this year and, as we grow, continue bringing in hoppers to speed up harvest times.»
